A Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) scheme at Oxen Park Farm, Devon. Local veg bag subscription service focused on sustainable, "better-than-organic" farming.
When there is too much produce for veg bags members, they occasionally sell this directly to the public. Keep an eye out on their Facebook and Instagram accounts and Newsletters.
They also have a wholesale list where any surplus is offered to local food businesses- get in touch with them if you’d like to be informed. Occasionally veg is for sale at the Teign Valley Farmers Market via Milk on the Moove.
Founded by Holly Budgen and Tim Dickens in partnership with Oxen Park Farm, it was established during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 to address local food security when supermarket supplies were strained.
Veg Bag Scheme: Provides to members weekly bags of seasonal, chemical-free vegetables grown on approximately four acres of land.
Sustainability: Uses "human-scale" farming methods, including agroforestry and minimal tillage, to reduce food miles and eliminate chemical use.
Community Focus: As a Community Interest Company, profits are reinvested into the scheme or the local community. Members are encouraged to visit and help harvest crops.
Collection Hubs: Produce can be collected from the farm or hubs in Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracey, Chudleigh, Dunsford, Christow, and Ashton.
